Okra Water

Here is a quick and simple recipe to make okra water! But why make it in the first place? Okra water is a great source of fiber & antioxidants, helping boost your immune system and regulate your blood sugar level. Its soluble fiber also prevents constipation as well as lowering cholesterol.

 

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 fresh okra pods
  • 2 cups of filtered water

 

Instructions:

  1. Wash your okra pods thoroughly
  2. Cut of the stems at the ends and slice your okra into smaller pieces.
  3. Add these okra slices into a jar or glass with filtered water and let it infuse in your fridge overnight or for about 8-12 hours.
  4. Once your okra water is infused, strain out the okra and enjoy your okra water!


Want more flavor?

Okra water can be mixed into many other drinks. Popular combinations include adding pineapple and coconut juice to make a refreshing drink. Add some citrus and you can make okra water lemonade! If you want some more sweetness, we recommend adding a bit of honey into the mix as well.
