Black Sapote Pudding

Black sapote pudding is an easy and delicious alternative to regular pudding with much better nutritional value so you won't feel guilty enjoying it! Often called "chocolate pudding fruit" this fruit is native to southern Mexico and is a rich source of vitamin C, potassium, calcium and iron!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 ripe black sapotes (best when soft and squishy)
  • 2 tbsp of raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp of honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • A splash of your favorite plant-based milk (such as almond, oat, or coconut)

Instructions:

  1.  First we want to start of by cutting our black sapote in half and scooping the insides into a bowl or blender
  2. Next, in the bowl or blender, add in the rest of ingredients and blend or mix until smooth.
  3. That's it! You can adjust sweetness and thickness to your liking as well as add other toppings like nuts or fruits if you'd like.
